Vodafone "looks forward" to 3G iPhone version

More speculation arises today as Reuters post an Article on Vodafone. Analysts expected Vodafone to be in prime position to secure an exclusive, pan-European deal to sell iPhones, which have flown off the shelves in the United States, but warned that Apple was a tough negotiator and liked to dictate terms.

Forbes.com have reported that Telefonica SA's O2 mobile phone unit has reached an agreement to become the exclusive network partner for Apple's iPhone in the UK. The article reports that the UK will see sales begin 'shortly'.

Vodafone lead the race to win exclusive iPhone contract

According to various internet sources, more notably the Times Online, Vodafone look set to win European rights to the iPhone. Neither Vodafone or Apple have yet to release a statement confirming these rumours. Apple set a date for the European launch of the iPhone for the last quarter of 2007.
